Berryz Koubou

Berryz Koubou are a second-tier Japanese girl band based on the Hello! Project Kids, a project of the female idol agency Up-Front. Bk's size can be said to be bigger than the scope of their success: the group features seven members, all vocalists (there were eight until 2008), but none of their first five albums managed to sell over 20,000 copies, and none of the 20 singles of the same period shifted over 40,000 CDs, although the sheer number of releases still makes for some nice sales figures.
