TransCanada Re-Opened

Good news for travellers heading back to Alberta after the long weekend.

Highway 1 at Glacier National Park is now open.

Officials say traffic in both directions re-opened at around 8 this morning after over 50 hours of closure as crews cleaned up a mudslide that happened Saturday morning.

Drivers should leave themselves lots of extra time and drive with care through the area.

And if you can, officials suggest you still avoid the route altogether and use Highway 5 and 3 instead.
