Summerland Boil Water Advisory

Some good news for residents of Summerland who have been on a boil water order since mid-May.  Acting Manager of Water Operations, Scott Lee says the boil order is being lifted. But an advisory remains, which means those with weak immune systems, the elderly and children, should drink and alternate water source, or continue to boil water.  Lee says they have the new water treatment plant operating about 50 percent capacity right now, as they gradually bring the system on line, and try to address the sludge issues in the settling ponds.
